To make a request for information under the FOI Act, you will need to fill in the necessary form. This form can be accessed by clicking here. Once the form is filled in, it is to be submitted online through the same portal. This request will be received by the Department’s FOI Officer.

The information, if available and not exempt under the Act, will be sent either by email, made available on optical media or hard copy.

The Department of Contracts does have a dedicated email address and this is [email protected]. However, no requests for information are to be sent through this address. If one submits a request for information through this email address, they will be contacted back by reply email with instructions to submit the request through the FOI online form, which can be found here.

The email address can be used to contact the Department to check at what stage a request you submitted is at. When doing so, kindly quote the Reference Number that you were given by the FOI System, when you made your online submission. Not providing the Refence Number, will hinder the process in getting a prompt reply.
